Itinerary

  • Day 1: •  5:00am hotel pick up from Colombo
  • Proceed to Nuwara Eliya by private wagon. Stop for breakfast on the way (at your own expense)
  • 10:00am reach Nuwara Eliya and head to the famous Ramboda Waterfalls, one of the most beautiful falls in Sri Lanka. Here you have the option to visit the view point and also bathe in the falls
  • 12:00pm break for lunch at a local restaurant
  • 1:00pm head to your hotel and check in (booked by yourself), relax and refresh yourself
  • 3:00pm hotel pick up, and you head to Nuwara Eliya city to explore the lovely region and its surrounding areas
  • Proceed to Hagkala Botanical Gardens, believed to be the highest set botanical gardens in the world. See over 10,000 species of flora planted here
  • Head to Gregory Lake, located in the heart of the city, and see majestic landscapes You have the option to do a boat ride or water activities (at your own expense) or just relax by the lake
  • 7:00pm drop off at your hotel and you can spend the rest of the evening at leisure  Day 2: 8:00am check out from your booked hotel, head to the famous Seetha Amman Temple. The Rama Sita Temple is at a spot believed to be the exact place where Sita was held captive by the demon-king Ravana in the Lanka of the epic, Ramayana
  • 10:00am proceed to the Mackwood Labookellie Tea Factory, and see the completely aweinspiring landscape of the region. Sample some tea at the factory for tasting and understand the process of tea making. Witness tea plucking by ladies at the plantation. You also have the option of buying tea at the center
  • 12:30pm break for lunch at local restaurant
  • 2:00pm begin your 5 hour drive back to Colombo
  • 7:30pm approx drop off at hotel in Colombo

  • Child ticket: Age 4-11
  • Children aged 0-3 can join the tour for free provided they do not occupy an additional seat
  • Ladies are required to cover up to enter the temples. Please wear long pants to cover your knees and a long-sleeved shirt or bring something to wrap around you to cover your sholders. A scarf is also recommended for places that require you to cover your hair
