Description of the Experience

Immerse yourself in Colombo's vibrant and unique culture with this fun walking tour of the bustling city! Meet up with your guide at the entrance of entrance of Galadari Hotel for a brief introduction to the city, then begin exploring the city's engaged streets. In the outer streets of Pettah, you'll see the market district where the streets are full of a variety of goods, from textiles to electronics, to spices and souvenirs. From there, head to the Old Dutch museum where you can feast your eyes on the pristine architecture of the mansion that was built in the latter parting of the 17th century. Learn about the city's fascinating history and colonial past from your local, English-speaking guide, as you explore the area. Head to Colombo's busiest districts, and see Fort, the Old Dutch hospital, and numerous high end restaurants, bars, and shops. Head to the lighthouse and enjoy a few moments of quiet as you get an awesome view of the city, before you stop by a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal! Once you're done, you'll walk back to the meet up point with your group, before the tour concludes.
