  • 10:15am proceed to the city's most famous Galle Face area and its luxurious surroundings
  • 11:15am visit Town Hall, Viharamahadevi Park and Independence Square
  • 1:00pm approx. break for lunch at a local restaurant
  • 2:00pm visit the famous Gangaramaya Buddhist Temple

  • Children aged 0-3 can join the tour for free provided they do not occupy an additional seat
  • Child ticket: Age 4-1
  • The tour does not include a visit inside the Town Hall as it's a government building and entry is not permitted to outsiders
  • Ladies are required to cover up to enter the temples. Please wear long pants to cover your knees and a long-sleeved shirt or bring something to wrap around you to cover your shoulders. A scarf is also recommended for places that require you to cover your hair
  • Footwear must be removed before entering the temple, but socks may be worn
  • A moderate amount of walking is involved
