Japan’s busy capital, mixes the ultramodern and the traditional, from neon-lit skyscrapers to historic temples. The opulent Meiji Shinto Shrine is known for its towering gate and surrounding woods. The Imperial Palace sits amid large public gardens. The city's many museums offer exhibits ranging from classical art to a reconstructed kabuki theatre. It also offers a seemingly unlimited choice of shopping, entertainment, culture and dining to its visitors. The city's history can be appreciated in districts such as Asakusa. Contrary to common perception, Tokyo also offers a number of attractive green spaces in the city centre and within relatively short train rides at its outskirts.
Speak and writes in english. We decided touse her for 2 extra days. picked us up at the ship dock and took us to the hotel first. then we start our great tour. Thanks leamigo .
Akemi provided a fantastic tour, giving us local color, sites and tastes of Tokyo. The food was diverse and really good with a few surprises thrown in. Akemi was a true local and introduced us to spots we would have never found on our own. Thanks leamigo.
Guide was punctual, she was easy to understand for an english-speaker, knew her subject; there was a program at the imperial gardens & she found another was for access; highly recommend tour.
“So glad we did this tour. Chieko was a great guide, very enthusiastic and fun. We have been to Tokyo many a times, but having a Japanese guide to explain things in-depth and help us interact with the locals was really special. We loved the Ningyocho neighborhood. It's a place we would never think to go to on our own. We look forward to taking other Leamigo tours in Japan.”
This tour was very organized and our tour guide spoke excellent English. He was able to answer all my questions. We had plenty of time at each destination. I really enjoyed my day at Kamakura. It was exactly what I was expecting for in a day trip.
