Description of the Experience

Abode of immigrants of India, who settled here in colonial period under britishers, grew into ‘Little India’ of Singapore. Sri Veermariaaman , an oldest shrine of Hindus build in Dravidian style has vibrant exterior with deities of god and goddess carved on the walls. It has serene and colorful interior wherein visitors and locals can visit to offer prayers. Streets of Campbell and Serangoon are filled with exuberant stuffs ranging from embroidered & zari work in sarees to handicrafts, streets filled with fragrance of fresh flower garlands, henna and miniatures of deities. Tekka Centre offers almost everything from wet market to electronic gadget. Another heaven for shopaholic is Mustafa plaza which remains open for 24-hours.
