Description of the Experience

Take a day out to visit Abu Dhabi’s two famous cultural attractions – The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and Louvre Museum. The trip begins with the driver picking you up from the hotel. The first stop is the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. With tickets already booked, savor the exteriors and take a guided visit through one of the most iconic symbols of Islamic architecture. The exteriors are made of sivec marbles bought from Greece and Macedonia. The top dome of the mosque is also the largest in the world. The interiors of the mosque are truly grand with the Islamic verses on the walls, Swarovski studded chandeliers and the largest hand-woven carpet in the world. The next stop is the Louvre museum which is a truly refined place after the one in France. This silvery dome is designed with exteriors that look like interwoven palm leaves. Walking into the Museum even the harsh sun rays feel soothing. This is the largest Arabic museum in the world and has a collection of artifacts, unique paintings, silverware, etc on exhibit. The museum hosts a collection of French artifacts from different civilizations and cultures and is sourced from some of the mighty French museums like the Palace of Versailles, Center Georges, etc. There are also Children’s museum, café, boutiques and restaurant to taste the food.

  • On Fridays, pick up will be at 1:00pm-1:45pm and drop off will be at 8:00pm-8:45pm
  • The tour does not operate on Mondays
  • Dress Code-Women and men are to wear conservative, loose fitting, non-transparent clothing: long sleeves (wrist length), long skirts (ankle length) or trousers
  • Women will be asked to wear a headscarf and a traditional dressing gown before entering the mosque
  • Men must not reveal any flesh above their knees and their shoulders must be covered. Participants dressed unsuitably may be denied entry
