Description of the Experience

Winter Kuari trek is among the most wonderful winter treks that captures perfectly the snow-landscape's grandeur. Settled at an altitude of 4264 metres, Kuari Pass boasts amphitheatric views of Kamet (7756 metres), Trishul (7120 metres), Chaukhamba (7128 metres) and Nanda Devi (7817 metres) and its sister Nanda Devi East (7434 metres). Get bowled over by the way of life of the locals, and mingle with the shepherds to know more about their mountainous life. The high point of the trip would be the views of Nanda Devi (7816 m) along with other gigantic elevations like Dronagiri (7066 m), Kamet (7757 m), Chaukhamba (7128 m) and Trishul (7120 m) peaks.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Drive from Haridwar – Joshimath (260 km):
  • You'll travel to Joshimath, a holy city for people going to Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib after you arrive in Haridwar. The journey should take around 10 hours to meet you covering a distance of 260 km. You can sign in at your pre-booked hotel after entering the airport.

    Day 2: Drive from Joshimath to Dhak Village (10 Kms) - Trek from Dhak to Akhod getha (6Kms):
  • You'll depart your ride on a Kuari Pass trek this morning. You would have to travel to Dhak town at first, from where you can stroll and crawl through gorgeous woodland of rhododendron, oak and hemlock. After walking for a bit, you'll fall to a grassland that will also be your Akhod Getha campsite.From your campsite you can see the magnetizing view of snow-dressed peak, Chaukhamba. You will also find shepherds living here who descend during the harsh winters. Start a casual chat, and you'll hear various tales of the town. At the meadow 's crown you'll even consider a spring line for unrestricted water flow.Take pictures of the sweeping mountains, sit at the edge watching the beauty of nature or take pleasure in your friends' company in the midst of the beautiful countryside.

    Day 3: Trek from Akhod Getha to Kuari Pass to Akhod Getha (10 kms):
  • You'll head out to continue your journey to Kuari Pass as soon as the morning begins. Your trek guide will give you tricks and tips on the upcoming trek after breakfast, listen closely and obey on the trek. Nonetheless, you are going to trek for 5 km, in between you are going to take breaks because today 's path is going to be very steep.A hike should go up to Khullara, where you can encounter nice snow pockets. You can enter the peak of the Kuari after heading under the snow coverings. The winds won't quit moaning when you're soaking in the mighty Himalayan's sweeping vistas.After clicking on Mt. Nanda Devi 's photos, you can return to the campsite, Akhod Getha, and enjoy your hot dinner at night, after you spend time with your mates, or rejuvenate yourself in the midst of nature.

    Day 04: Trek from Akhod Getha to Gulling (5 Kms):
  • Wake up to the lovely sunrise, as well as head out to another campsite, Gulling. Leaving the views of Mt. Chaukhamba behind, you'll see Dronagri, Hathi Parvat, and Gori Parvat when you enter the next base camp. You can chill in your tent when you arrive at the campsite, or you can choose to engage in different sports.You'll be presented with a frightening dinner at night, a post where you should either sleep or spend time with mates.

    Day 05: Trek from Gulling to Auli via Gorson Bugyal (08 Kms) - Drive to Joshimath form Auli (15kms):
  • You'll be trekking to Auli today after savoring your breakfast in the midst of the natural surroundings. Auli 's spectacular views will connect you with spell and splendour. The road leading to Auli meanders through thick woodland and large pastures. You will enjoy exceptional views of the Himalayan peaks, Nanda Devi, Hathi Ghodi peak and Dronagiri while trekking.Click photos of the ravishing hills, villages on the way before you reach Gorson 's green grassland. Cross the grasslands and stroll until you enter Auli 's lush meadows. When you arrive in Auli, you will have a hot lunch, after having enjoyed the meal, take your belongings back to Joshimath

    Day 06: Joshimath to Haridwar:
  • Today is the last day of your journey, as you'll travel back to Haridwar after getting breakfast, bringing with you plenty of memories. If you arrive in time, you can indulge Aarti at Harki Pauri in the evening. You will pass the majority of the day in your free time later.
