Description of the Experience

The peak trek of Pangarchulla is an amazing climbing spot near the popular Kuari pass. The Pangrachulla highest point trek is about 15000 metres above sea level and there's plenty of snow to be found until late May. The difficulty level of climbing the peak differs with your choice of month. The ideal place to climb the peak of Pangarchulla is April through May. This trek will give you tons of trekking experience in Uttarakhand, and will put you a little closer to seeking harder Himalayan treks. Winters would be one of the best time to climb to the Pangarchulla peak because the snow would make the area look spectacular.

Itinerary

  • Day 01: Haridwar – Joshimath (268 KM / 8 – 9 HRS) Guest House)
  • Arrive at the railway station in Haridwar by 7 am, then fly to Joshimath, some 268 km north. A lengthy yet interesting trip along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers includes passing through Rishikesh, Dev Prayag, and Rudra Prayag. Relax in the evening and remain at the lodge for overnight.

    Day 02: Joshimath - Auli (2450m) - Tali (3200m) (Trek / 5 - 6 hrs)
  • Post-breakfast, travel to the starting point of the trek for about 5 kms. Hike across the Auli meadows with Nanda Devi mountain in the background and other giants from the Himalayas. Now you'll travel through a forest renowned for its spectacular birdlife.Leaving the park, you can enter the lovely meadows of Gurson just to walk through another park that is simply a big array of oaks, deodars, maple trees and chestnut trees. Reach Tali and camp here for the day. Overnight stay in tents.

    Day 03: Tali (3200m) - Kuari Pass (3650m) - Base Of Pangarchulla Peak - Tali (3650m) (Trek / 6 - 7 hrs)
  • Move up to the meadows and start walking while recording Tali's beautiful places. The hike to Kuari Pass can be done in three hours. You have the choice of not heading to the specific pass and ascending another point which has better views instead. Spend a bit of time, and then continue walking to the base camp for the climb to the top of Pangarchulla.Await a beautiful view of truly famous himalayan mountains like Chaukhamba, Kedarnath, Neelkanth, Haathi-Ghodi, Kamet, Mana, Dronagiri, etc. You'll return to Tali after appreciating the breathtaking views.

    Day 04: Tali - Summit Of Pangarchulla Peak (4700m) - Khulara (3225m) (Trek / 8 - 9 hrs)
  • Wake up at 5 am and continue ascending the mountain to hit the peak of the hill after breakfast. There would be a few rugged ground areas, so if you head out early in the morning, you'll be able to travel on smooth snow that's easy to navigate. Also the view at the dawn break will surely charm you and motivate you on. From this path to the top, you'll bear witness to a spectacular view of the broad mountains like the likes of Nanda Devi, Trishul, Changbhang and several more. There are also beautiful views over the surrounding valleys. When you have spent enough time here observing the beautiful sight, you continue heading down to Khulara. Overnight in tents.

    Day 05: Khulara – Dhak Via Tugasi Village – Joshimath ( 30 Mins) Guest House
  • After a sumptuous breakfast you start descending down towards the path that connects Joshimath to the valley of Niti-Malari. You will soon find yourself in Dhak -a busy marketplace. Along our journey you'll encounter several beautiful stretches of woods and villages again. At Tugasi and Karchi you must make visits to immerse yourself more in the local community.To Dhak you travel to Joshimath where you are awaited by a hot shower accompanied by a sumptuous dinner. At residence overnight.

    Day 06: Joshimath - Haridwar (Drive / 280 km / 8 - 9 hrs)?
  • Then drive back to Haridwar after breakfast. That is when the journey begins.
