Description of the Experience

Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a lovely small town in the Sahyadri Mountain range of Maharashtra, India. Rajmachi Fort is a historic fort situated close to the hill stations of Lonavala and Khandala, standing at a height of 2710 feet. Numerous trekking enthusiasts visit Rajmachi Fort in monsoon, for the most thrilling experience. The town is a popular destination for trekkers and comprises of the magnificent Shrivardhan Fort and Manaranjan Fort. Shrivardhan Fort is the taller one towards the east while Manaranjan Fort is on the western side. These forts offer breathtaking views of the Sahyadri Mountains, dense forests, waterfalls, and green lands.   • Day 1: Lonavala - Tugarli Dam Meet the team at the Lonavala station by 4:00 pm. After having delicious evening snacks, head to Tungarli Dam at the Tungarli Lake, which is around 2.7 km via local transport. It is a beautiful, calm location with picturesque views and is a great spot for a peaceful getaway as well as for trekking. On reaching the dam, start trekking amidst the dense forest, accompanied by beautiful glowing fireflies. After a wonderful trek, get to the base village and have a good night’s rest.
    Day 2: Tugarli Dam - Lonavala On the next beautiful morning, freshen up and get ready by 6:30 am for an exciting day. Start off with a trek to Shrivardhan Fort and enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding waterfalls, palaces, lakes, and Rajmachi Fireflies Trek Overview and Itineary mountains. Then, get back to the base village for a scrumptious and filling breakfast. Rest for a while and slowly descend towards Tungarli Dam.
