Description of the Experience

Ayutthaya or the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya is the capital of Siam and serves as a 417 years old Kingdom which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Ayutthaya is known for its culturally rich and grandeur temples that are undoubtedly some artistic masterpieces depicting the history of Thailand. The Ayutthaya Day Tour takes you around the temples in Ayutthaya and enjoying the relics of Buddha. The Wat Chaiwatthanaram temple was built by King Prasat Thong in memory of his mother’s residence near the Chao Phraya River. This temple is built in Khmer style architecture is also a royal monastery with relics of Lord Buddha. The Wat Phra Mahathat is one of the iconic temples in Ayutthaya is known for its enshrined relics of Buddha. The portrait of Buddha’s face enveloped in the roots and trunks of a tree is a sight worth capturing. Wat Lokayasutharam temple features a reclining statue of Buddha facing east. The 37 meters long and 8 meters high statue is a stunning piece of art to visit in Ayutthaya. Hop from one temple to another with your local amigo and get a chance to row on a boat and witness a golden sunset from the banks of Chao Phraya River.
