Toronto – Canada’s most populous city that engulfs the globe! Though English being an official language, over 130 languages are spoken in the city. One of the world’s most multicultural cities, Toronto is located on the northwestern banks of Lake Ontario. Home to the Toronto Stock Exchange, the city is also the headquarter for Canada’s mainstream broadcast networks and media outlets. Housing over fifty ballet and dance schools, the city hosts Caribana – a Caribbean street dance festival held in the summers known by being the largest street festival in North America. The ethnically diverse neighborhoods in the city include – Chinatown, Greektown, Koreatown, Little India, Little Jamaica, Little Portugal, two Little Italies and Roncesvalles (Polish community). No doubt that the winter is merciless in the city, yet the Torontonians have found their way to have fun still in their winter favorites such as – Winter Light Festival, Icefest, etc. The gastronomy of the city is as diverse as the residents of the city! Gastropubs, laid back cafes, legendary bakeries, exotic oriental restaurants, refreshing Caribbean eat- outs and lively distilleries, and the list goes countless…Nonetheless, Toronto welcomes you with its booming atmosphere and amiable locals.
The Cruise was very full and the food was a bit above average. The parking for this cruise is very expensive and the cruise was not cheap either. Overall it is worth the money as the scenery makes up for it. Book in advance as it fills fast in the summer months.
