Once a summer capital of British India, Shimla is a hill station in Himachal Pradesh, India! The colorful houses, small lanes, Churches, homely cafes, mountain beauty, scenic landscapes, and a laid back mountain life makes Shimla a rather homely getaway destination. Shimla is a traveler’s delight with adventurous activities like trekking, bungee jumping, paragliding, camping, mountain biking, Heli-Skiing, river rafting, etc. Mall road is a city meet area, while the touristy places include Jakhoo Temple, Christ Church, The Ridge, River Tattapani, etc.
Shimla is famous for its Himalayan cuisine like Dham, Thukpa, Sidu, Babru, Mash Daal, Chicken Anardana, Madra, etc. With cool temperatures, waterfalls, river streams, and never-ending mountainous beauty, it’s a pristine getaway to cherish the beauty of nature from close.
This place has a lot of product to go shopping. I found a very nice collection of wool over her at a reasonable price. It's a good place to shop.
Excellent experience with our guide. The roads were dry, the tour was informative, and we learned a lot about how the British spent their time and built the city in the mid 1800s. We had a walk through many of the buildings and learnt many facts and history. We enjoyed the tour.
The temple is clean hygienic & well maintained temple. It's a wonderful experience. Huge statue of Lord Hanuman, makes you feel like you're standing in front of the Real God.
The tour was very well arranged and the guide was too good. He shared with us many historical facts about the city’s heritage buildings to temples. The views of the surrounding mountains are stunning. Highly recommended.
