Description of the Experience
Start your day of touring in the lower mountainous zones of Sri Lanka with a pickup from your Hotel, where your guide will initially take you to see the greatest Buddha in Asia, the Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue. Reach Katukithula and find about tea and tea strategy, from gathering the planting leaves to cutting, maturing and sieving at the Glenloch Tea Factory. Here you will thoroughly understand tea, taste different types of leaves that make various sorts of tea and attempt a loosening up cup of tea with the alternative of buying a couple to take home. From there move to Pussellawa to see the well known Ramboda cascades one of the biggest in Sri Lanka.

Itinerary
- 8:00 am hotel pick-up from Kandy
- 9:00 am Reach at Bahiravokanda Vihara Buddha Statue
- 9:30 am Head to see the tea making procedure at the Glenloch tea factory in Katukithula, See the plantation and factory
- 11:00 am arrive to the view point to get splendid view of kandy
- 11:30 am Move further to the Ramboda waterfalls in Pussellawa. You may take a short walk (at your own risk) to get nearer to the falls or take a quick bath
- 1:00 pm Take a break for lunch at a restaurant which is close by you
- 2:00 pm Head to Nuwara Eliya and take a look to a famous Gregory Lake.Walk around town with your guide to discover the wonderful city at your own pace
- Leisure time to do a little water activity or a short boat ride (at your own expense)
- 4:00pm approx. Start your ride back to the city of Kandy
- 6:30 pm Hotel drop-off in Kandy
Note
- Infant aged 0-2 can join the tour for free
- Child ticket - aged 3-12
- Women are required to cover up to enter the temple
- Just wear long pants to cover your knees and a long-sleeved shirt or to cover your shoulders with something to tie around you. A scarf is also recommended for those cases where you need to cover your hair
- Always remove your shoes before entering the temple.
