See the magnificent coastline of the Hibiscus Coast from this point. Enjoy a brief stop (time permitting) at Parry Kauri Park to see the Kauri trees, one of the tallest-growing species in the world.You’ll pass through Whangarei, the northland's only city and its largest port, as you head to the Waitangi Treaty House and Grounds. At this site you’ll learn about Waitangi Day and the significance of the treaty that was signed here. There are spectacular views from the site, looking out over the Bay of Islands.Afterwards, you’ll take a ferry to the seaside town of Paihia. Visit the elegant township of Russell, which was the earliest European settlement on the North Island. If you like, try some of the delicious seafood here (not included in the tour price).
