About Agra

On the banks of Yamuna River, the revering history of the Mughals in India breathes through the city called Agra. Also called as the City of Love, Agra is known for its UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World – The Taj Mahal. It was once a Mughal Empire ruled by Shah Jahan. The Indo-Persian architecture, Mughal history, religions, and local cuisine have made Agra a rich experience. Agra is famous for mouthwatering dishes Agra petha, Mughali curries, Dalmoth, Bedhai, Kebabs, etc.

The Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri, Mehtab Bagh, Akbar’s Mausoleum, etc are other prominent places that make Agra a distinct locale for understanding Mughal Dynasty. Agra brings out the grandeur of Mughal lifestyle, religious influences and the Persian art on a trip down the historical pages of India.
